A young man’s life was brutally cut short in Palamu, Jharkhand, with his body found submerged in a septic tank. The deceased has been identified as Sudama Thakur, a salon owner from Sahdeva village, Patan, who was living in Paneribandh village. His body bore clear signs of a violent death, including strangulation marks and trauma consistent with being hit by a heavy object like stones. The motive behind this horrific crime remains unclear, but police suspect foul play given the state of the body and its disposal. A vehicle found near the site has been taken into custody for forensic analysis. The discovery was made by construction workers at an under-construction property in Paneribandh who alerted the police. Preliminary findings suggest a possible altercation, potentially involving alcohol, with Sudama and other individuals present before his death. His family last saw him when he left his salon to run an errand, and he never returned. Police are meticulously gathering evidence, including analyzing call data from Sudama’s mobile phone, to identify the culprits. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full details of the crime.
