Jharkhand has significantly ramped up its security apparatus to ensure the integrity of the Bihar Assembly elections. Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kumar convened a crucial meeting with enforcement agency leaders, stressing the necessity of coordinated efforts with Bihar’s electoral authorities. The core mandate is to prevent any attempts to disrupt the democratic process through illegal means. With a shared border spanning 10 districts, Jharkhand’s role in maintaining electoral fairness is paramount. The CEO has ordered stringent checks at mirror checkposts established along the inter-state boundaries to block the flow of illegal cash, liquor, drugs, and other illicit items.
