The chill of winter is now palpable across Jharkhand, with Laher district recording a significant low of 15.8 degrees Celsius. Meteorological forecasts indicate that this cooling trend is set to intensify across the state, including the prominent city of Ranchi, in the immediate future. The weather bureau confirmed that current conditions point towards clear skies throughout Jharkhand. Nevertheless, residents should anticipate morning and evening fog in numerous areas, with occasional cloudy spells during the day potentially pushing temperatures down further.
The highest temperature observed over the preceding 24 hours was 32.3 degrees Celsius in Saraikela. Importantly, there were no reports of rainfall anywhere in the state. The dampness in the atmosphere, a residual effect from four to five days of continuous rain just a week ago, is contributing to the crisp, cold feel during the early hours and at night. This ground moisture enhances the perception of cold.
Residents of Ranchi experienced a pleasant, sun-filled Tuesday morning, enjoying the warmth after the recent rains. Recorded maximum temperatures across key cities include Ranchi at 26.4°C, Jamshedpur at 31.8°C, Daltonganj at 31°C, Bokaro at 28.1°C, and Chaibasa at 30.8°C.
