Palamu Police in Jharkhand has taken a firm stance against the spread of fake and misleading videos on social media. They have warned the public about the circulation of such content and announced that they are actively identifying individuals involved in creating and sharing these videos. The police have assured that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found spreading misinformation or attempting to disrupt social harmony.
An investigation by the police revealed that a particular video, which claimed to show the waving of a Palestinian flag, was fabricated. The police confirmed that the flag shown in the video was created by local individuals and had no connection with Palestine or any other country. The video is considered to be factually incorrect and intended to create confusion.
The Palamu district administration has appealed to the public to refrain from sharing, forwarding, or liking the video and to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it. The administration has warned that those found spreading misleading content will face serious legal consequences under the IT Act and the Indian Penal Code. The public is urged to maintain peace and harmony and to cooperate with the authorities by avoiding rumors.
