The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for Special Education Assistant Teachers. Advertisement number 08/2025 details the opening of 3,451 regular positions under the Jharkhand Intermediate and Graduate Trained Special Education Assistant Teacher Joint Competitive Examination 2025 (JIGTSEATCCE‑2025).
These crucial roles are designed to support students with special needs in Jharkhand’s primary education system. The JSSC is inviting applications for these 3,451 newly sanctioned posts. Interested candidates can access all relevant information and the application portal via the official JSSC website.
The online application period begins on December 14, 2025, and concludes on January 13, 2026. Prospective applicants must complete their registration, fill out the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the requisite fee within this timeframe.
The application fee is ₹100 for the General category and ₹50 for SC, ST, and other reserved categories within Jharkhand. Payment must be made online. It is imperative for candidates to thoroughly check their eligibility and ensure all uploaded documents are accurate and valid, as the application fee is non-refundable.
Specialized training in special education is a mandatory requirement. Candidates with only a general B.Ed or D.El.Ed are not eligible. For graduate-level positions, a graduate degree is required alongside either a Special B.Ed or a general B.Ed with a special education diploma/certificate. For intermediate-level posts, candidates must hold an intermediate qualification and specific special education diplomas.
Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) featuring objective-type questions. The examination comprises three papers: Paper 1 (General Hindi & Language), Paper 2 (Jharkhand Regional/State Languages), and Paper 3 (General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Child Development, Pedagogy, Special/Inclusive Education, and Jharkhand General Studies). The combined scores will determine final selection.
The salary structure for these positions will adhere to Jharkhand’s revised teacher service rules, with an approximate Level-6 pay scale. Reservation will be implemented as per Jharkhand’s state policies, applicable to categories, gender, and persons with disabilities. Only Jharkhand domicile holders can avail reservation benefits; others will be treated as general candidates.
