A two-day Kali Puja festival, filled with devotion and spectacular celebrations, concluded at the Kali Mandir near Koderma Railway Station. The temple committee orchestrated a memorable event that included evening Aarti, worship, and an enthralling ‘Jagran’ performed by a mix of local and guest artists. The devotional singing commenced with Ganesh Vandana, a soulful performance by Munna Bhadani. The audience was enthralled by Vinod Chaurasia’s rendition of popular bhajans like ‘Chalo Bulawa Aaya Hai, Mata Ne Bulaya Hai’. Further adding to the spiritual ambiance were performances by Raja Chaurasia, Anuradha Singh, Kshama Sonkar, and Anand Singh. The musical backdrop, featuring Vishal Kapsime on the organ, Bablu Pandey on the dholak, and other accomplished musicians, significantly amplified the event’s festive spirit. Following the Aarti, a divine meal was offered to Maa Kali, and a large ‘Bhandara’ served thousands of devotees. The chants of devotees created a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Dinesh Mishra, head of the temple committee, reiterated the tradition’s aim to promote devotion, unity, and goodwill. The puja ceremonies were meticulously performed by priest Vijaykant Upadhyay, starting with the auspicious lighting of the sacred flame.
