Koderma witnessed a magnificent Kali Puja celebration at the Railway Station Kali Temple, spanning two days of fervent worship and joyous festivity. The event culminated in a spectacular ‘Jagran’ (devotional concert) following the evening Aarti, where a constellation of artists, including local luminaries and guests from afar, delivered powerful performances that transported the audience to a realm of divine bliss.
The evening’s spiritual symphony opened with Munna Bhadani’s rendition of a Ganesh Vandana. Vinod Chaurasia followed, captivating the audience with his rendition of beloved bhajans, inspiring a wave of enthusiastic participation. The musical tapestry was further enriched by Raja Chaurasia, Anuradha Singh, Kshama Sonkar, and Anand Singh, who presented a series of soul-stirring bhajans. The live musical backing, featuring Vishal Kapshima on the organ and Bablu Pandey on the dholak, alongside other instrumentalists, added a rich layer of authenticity and grandeur to the performances.
Post-Aarti, a sacred offering was made to Maa Kali, paving the way for a grand ‘Bhandara’ (community feast). Thousands of devotees were served Prasad, and the atmosphere resonated with fervent devotional slogans.
The temple committee orchestrates this annual event with profound dedication, aiming to propagate the ideals of devotion, togetherness, and amity. The intricate religious ceremonies were led by the temple priest, Vijaykant Upadhyay, who also marked the commencement of the festivities with the lighting of the sacred Kali flame.
