Young learners from Grizzly School, specifically 88 students from Class 3, recently engaged in a valuable educational field trip to the Koderma Cow Shelter. The students received a warm reception from Amit Khetan, an executive member, who then guided them through the shelter’s operational areas. The visit focused on exposing students to sustainable agricultural and animal welfare practices.
The tour highlighted key aspects of the shelter’s work, including the process of converting cow dung into organic fertilizer, milk production and handling, and the cultivation of green fodder. Students were also introduced to the various machines utilized, such as tractors and fodder choppers, and learned about their functions in the daily running of the shelter.
Students like Sanskriti Kumari, Sagar Satyam, Suhani, and Ayushi Sinha showed keen interest by asking numerous questions to Arun Modi, the shelter’s secretary. Their inquiries touched upon the economic aspects like selling organic manure, the technical details of the machinery, and the facilities and employee compensation at the cow shelter.
Mr. Modi elaborated on these points, offering thorough answers that broadened the students’ perspectives. The educators from Grizzly School were honored with mementos and organic fertilizer. The school was represented by individuals including Vikas Kumar Yadav and Neetu Kumari, while the shelter’s staff present included Anant Chandra and Manoj Choubey.
