An unsettling discovery has been made in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, where a young man’s body was found on Sunday morning near a cow shelter in the Chakulia police station’s jurisdiction. Sunil Kumar Mahto, a resident of Purana Bazar, was discovered by the roadside near the Dhyan Foundation’s gaushala at the airstrip, prompting an immediate and comprehensive police investigation.
The body was first spotted by Dr. Shalini Mishra, the director of the Dhyan Foundation, during her early morning constitutional. She immediately contacted the local police. Inspector Manoj Kumar Gupta and Station House Officer Santosh Kumar, accompanied by a police contingent, arrived swiftly, established a cordon, and commenced their investigation into the mysterious death.
Preliminary evidence gathered at the scene suggests a potential pre-meditated act. The presence of an empty liquor bottle, snacks, and a water bottle indicates that the deceased may have been with others before his death. Medical examination of the body revealed severe trauma to the head, consistent with an assault by a weapon or a heavy object. Police are actively pursuing leads and examining various possibilities to unravel the circumstances and motive behind this tragic event.
