
Grizzly School’s athletes have once again demonstrated their sporting caliber by securing multiple gold medals at the 69th SGFI National School Sports Competition 2025-26 selection trials. Held at the Ganpat Rai Indoor Stadium in Ranchi, the trials brought together more than 200 athletes from Jharkhand, where Grizzly School students shone brightly, earning prestigious spots in the national competition.
Under the expert tutelage of Coach Saurav Kumar Pathak, seven male athletes from Grizzly School competed with distinction. Pankaj Raj, Piyush Kumar, Abhishek Kumar Yadav, and Sachin Kumar Yadav were crowned gold medalists, finishing in first place. Shrikant Gupta, Adarsh Kumar, and Devanshu Kumar also performed admirably, securing third-place finishes and contributing significantly to the school’s triumphant campaign.
Four of Grizzly School’s finest athletes have now earned the distinction of qualifying for the national championship. The Under-14 category will see Pankaj Raj and Piyush Kumar compete, while the Under-19 category will feature Abhishek Yadav and Sachin Kumar Yadav. Their qualification underscores their dedication and the quality of training at Grizzly School.
This significant accomplishment has been met with widespread acclaim within the school. CEO Prakash Gupta attributed the success to the students’ rigorous training and unwavering discipline. Principal Anjana Kumari lauded the athletes and Coach Saurav Kumar Pathak for their exceptional commitment, emphasizing their role as motivators for the entire student body. The school community collectively celebrated this victory, expressing confidence that these athletes will represent Grizzly School and their district with honor and distinction at the upcoming national games.
