The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed a 30-member team to East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand, effective July 3, 2025, to enhance disaster management and provide relief. The deployment was authorized by the state’s disaster management department in response to a request from Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi.
The team, comprising 4 officers and 26 personnel, is trained to manage a range of incidents, including floods, waterlogging, gas leaks, and drowning situations. Their first response involved the rescue of a person at the Jadugora reservoir, located approximately 30 kilometers from Jamshedpur, showcasing their immediate readiness and effectiveness.
