
The Palajori block witnessed vibrant celebrations of Muharram on Sunday, with Tazia and Akhara processions taking place in numerous Muslim villages. The festival, symbolizing sacrifice and remembrance, saw extensive preparations across Palajori, Mahuadabar, Pokhariya, Leto, Chakleton, Makarkenda, Asahna, Sagarajor, Kumagadha, Mallandih, Bedgawana Wadih, and surrounding areas. The Tazia processions began in the afternoon, attracting large crowds. Fairs were also organized in several locations, including Mahuadabar and Bedagawana Wadih, with participation from people of all ages. Muslim youths demonstrated their skills in the Akhara, using traditional weapons and performing various feats. Police officials, including Police Inspector Nagendra Mandal and the in-charges of Palajori and Khaga police stations, maintained a vigilant presence to uphold law and order. Additional police deployments were made in several Muslim-majority villages. Further Akhara processions are planned for Monday in villages like Badiya. The 7 Star Club of Bedgawana Wadih put on a spectacular show in the Akhara, amazing the audience with their stunts. Shamsher Ansari, Karimuddin Ansari, Samsul Ansari, Jamal Ansari, Azad Ansari and others from the club contributed significantly to the Akhara’s success.
