Lohardaga is gripped by a sense of fear and grief after a grandmother and her grandson were found murdered in Bhakso village. The victims have been identified as Ritesh Oraon, 16, and his grandmother, Barya Oraon. Reports indicate Ritesh was killed with a ‘tangi’ to his throat, while his grandmother was asphyxiated. The double murder took place on Wednesday night. Other family members who were asleep in the other rooms did not realize what was happening. The Sadar police responded quickly to the scene. The bodies have been taken to Sadar Hospital, Lohardaga for autopsy. The police have started an investigation to understand the details behind this double murder.
