A video featuring Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari’s son, Krish Ansari, at a hospital has triggered a political uproar. The BJP has seized upon the video, alleging that the minister has effectively transferred his ministerial responsibilities to his son. The footage depicts Krish Ansari at a hospital, with a voiceover identifying him as “the minister’s son.” The video has since been deleted. BJP leader Bhanu Pratap Shahi questioned if Irfan had given his son the authority of a minister. In response to the controversy, Dr. Irfan Ansari defended his son, dismissing the claims as politically motivated and misleading. He clarified that Krish’s visit to RIMS was not for inspection purposes, but to visit his teacher’s father. He explained that Krish provided assistance to tribal families seeking help regarding the treatment of their relatives at RIMS, driven by compassion. Irfan criticized the political spin being put on the event, stressing his son’s character and his background as the grandson of a former MP involved in the Jharkhand statehood movement. Irfan also took aim at the BJP, stating that his son wasn’t involved in any actions, unlike some, and that he simply helped someone in need.
