Jharkhand is set to experience light to moderate rainfall in various regions on Friday, according to the Meteorological Department’s latest update. The current weather pattern is being shaped by a low-pressure system established over southern Bangladesh and surrounding areas, which is expected to extend its influence to parts of the state.
Significant rainfall has been observed in the last 24 hours, with Govindpur in Dhanbad logging 37.4 millimeters. Several other localities, such as Kumardungi, Maheshpur, Baharagora, Pulia Majgaon, and Govindpur, recorded between 10 and 25 millimeters of rain, pointing to widespread wet conditions.
In Ranchi and its vicinity, Thursday began with a heavy cloud cover, ushering in a noticeable coolness. The weather department has reassured citizens that temperature levels are expected to remain consistent for the next five days, barring any unforeseen changes.
The highest temperature recorded across Jharkhand in the preceding 24 hours was 35.5 degrees Celsius in Pakur, with Latehar experiencing the lowest at 19 degrees Celsius. Ranchi’s maximum temperature stood at 30 degrees Celsius, with Daltonganj reaching 32.4°C, Bokaro 33.6°C, and Chaibasa 32.8°C.
