The ashes of Dishom Guru, the revered Shibu Soren, were immersed in the Damodar River at Rajarappa on Sunday, a significant event led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The immersion marked the conclusion of the shraddha rituals. The Chief Minister, along with his family, visited the Rajarappa temple to participate in the final rites. The ceremony was conducted adhering to the traditional Santhali customs. The Chief Minister’s brother, Basant Soren, and other family members were present to pay their respects. The immersion was conducted after twelve days of shraddha ceremonies, with the family traveling from their ancestral village of Nemra to Rajarappa. The serene atmosphere at the banks of Damodar River provided a fitting setting for the solemn occasion, where the family observed the customary religious practices.
