In a disturbing turn of events in Ramgarh, police have recovered the dismembered body of Sonu Kumar Ram, who had been missing for approximately three months. The grim discovery was made late Thursday near the home of an accused individual in Shibu Colony, Nehru Road. Sonu, a resident of the Ramgarh Cantonment Council staff quarters, was last seen on September 17th, the day of Vishwakarma Puja. His disappearance had led to public outcry and protests by family and locals. Police efforts to locate him spanned several months, with the last known mobile phone signal pointing towards Ranjit Singh’s property in Shibu Colony. During interrogation, Ranjit Singh, also referred to as ‘Nana Bhai’, reportedly broke down and confessed to the murder. He led authorities to the crime scene and explained how he had dismembered the body and hidden the parts. The recovered remains are provisionally identified as Sonu’s, awaiting forensic confirmation. Authorities have arrested one suspect and are investigating the possibility of an extramarital affair being the motive behind the heinous crime. The suspect’s family members are also being questioned.
