
A man has been murdered in Ranchi, Jharkhand, following a dispute that arose over a t-shirt. The disagreement escalated into a violent attack, resulting in the death of the victim by three other individuals. The incident caused alarm after the body was found near a railway overbridge. Police swiftly responded, and three suspects have been arrested.
The body was found on May 24th near a railway overbridge in the Chutia police station area of Ranchi. The deceased was identified as Shani Ram. A special investigation team was formed and launched an immediate investigation. The team employed various pieces of evidence and technical analysis to find the accused.
The police arrested Sanjay Singh (alias Jilu), Binnu Lohra, and Raja Kerketta, who are all residents of the Chutia police station area. The suspects admitted to their involvement in the crime. Based on their statements, the police recovered the stones used in the murder.
The altercation began when Sanjay was trying to take a t-shirt from Shani Ram’s child. When Shani Ram protested, Sanjay was assaulted by Shani Ram. Seeking vengeance, Sanjay planned the murder with the help of Binu Lohra and Raja Kerketta. They located Shani Ram resting near the railway overbridge and used large stones to kill him. They hid the body in the bushes. DIG Chandan Kumar Sinha confirmed that the murder resulted from a t-shirt dispute. The police have sent the three accused to jail. The deceased, Shani Ram, had a criminal background.
