
Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) Vice-Chancellor, Dr. S.C. Dubey, has been given the additional charge of the Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Open University. This decision was made by Governor and Chancellor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. Dr. Dubey will manage the regular administrative duties until further orders. He will need to seek the Chancellor’s approval for any policy decisions. An official notification regarding this matter has been released by Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor. The previous Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Open University, Dr. Triveninath Sahu, completed his three-year tenure on July 4th. The Raj Bhavan had also issued an advertisement for the recruitment of a new VC, with several candidates applying. The appointment will be determined through a search committee, chaired by the NTA chairman. Dr. S.C. Dubey is scheduled to take over his duties on July 5. Currently, Pro. D.K. Singh (Nilambar-Pitambar University), Pro. Anjila Gupta (Kolhan University) and Anjani Kumar Mishra (Commissioner of South Chotanagpur) are overseeing the responsibilities of Ranchi University, Women’s University Jamshedpur and DSPMU respectively.
