The Jagannathpur police in Ranchi are investigating the suicide of a 21-year-old student, Swati Kumari, who was a resident of a rented room in the Hatia area. She arrived in Ranchi from Sasaram, Bihar, on October 3rd and was found dead on October 5th. The student was enrolled in a BBA program at a private university. The police have taken possession of the body and sent it for a post-mortem. The investigation is focused on the cause of death, with authorities exploring various possibilities, including a potential romantic involvement. The deceased’s phone has been seized for examination of call logs and other data. This case adds to the series of suicides in the area; two months prior, another woman had died by suicide with her two minor children.
