Ranchi police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old student, Swati Kumari, who was found dead in her rented room in Hatia. The student, who was enrolled in a BBA program at a private university, had recently arrived from Sasaram, Bihar. The Jagannathpur police are exploring different angles to understand the reason behind the suicide, which occurred just two days after her return. Her phone has been seized for analysis. The police are awaiting the post-mortem report. This is not the first such incident in the area; another suicide involving a woman and her children had occurred in the same police jurisdiction a couple of months before.
