
Rajmahal, Sahibganj has seen its police and administration on high alert after a substantial number of customers flocked to the local State Bank of India branch on Wednesday. The unexpected crowd density triggered immediate security reviews and increased police visibility to ensure a safe environment.
A dedicated police unit conducted an impromptu inspection at the bank. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Singh and led by Station House Officer Hasnain Ansari, the team assessed the bank’s security infrastructure. The inspection involved key bank officials: Branch Manager Prashant Saurav, Accountant Uttam Mahto, and Field Officer Ashish Kumar.
During the assessment, officers rigorously checked the functionality of the bank’s CCTV surveillance network and its emergency siren system. The objective was to confirm that all safety equipment was operational and reliable, capable of providing immediate alerts and recording any untoward activities.
Police also interacted with individuals present around the bank who drew attention due to their suspicious behavior, conducting necessary interrogations. The Station House Officer issued firm directives to the security guards on duty, emphasizing the critical need for heightened vigilance and strict adherence to security protocols, making it clear that any negligence would have consequences.
This focused security initiative, involving thorough inspections and increased police presence, has significantly boosted public trust in the safety and security measures implemented in the area.
