Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, the RJD MLA, has secured a second term as the Jharkhand Pradesh President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) unopposed, covering the years 2025-2028. The election process saw two other candidates file nominations; however, their applications were rejected, paving the way for Yadav’s unopposed victory. Yadav represents the Hussainabad assembly constituency. The nomination process concluded on June 14th, with scrutiny taking place on the subsequent Sunday. During the scrutiny, Yadav’s nomination was found valid because all his proposers were state council members. The other candidates’ nominations were rejected due to non-compliance with the required criteria. Subsequently, Yadav was declared President. Yadav’s political career includes winning from Hussainabad in 2000, 2009, and 2024. The re-election has been celebrated by party members.
