Numerous locations in Kharsawan witnessed the Sankat Tarini Puja on Tuesday. Key celebrations occurred at the Gundicha temple, the Mausibari temple in Haribhanja, and other locations. Women played a central role, observing fasts and participating in the puja. Offerings to Maa Tarini included 13 different types of flowers, fruits, and prasad. A special thread, 13 hands long, was prepared and used in the ceremony, which the women then wore. Devotees also made offerings. The prasad was distributed to worshippers following the puja. It is believed that Maa Tarini, representing divine strength, removes all hardships through this puja. Therefore, women observe the Tarini Vrat on the first Tuesday after the Rath Yatra. Besides the Gundicha temples, the puja of Maa Sankat Tarini was also performed at various Tarini Peeths. Many devotees also set up Kalash in their homes and performed the puja.
