
A new chapter in skill development has begun at Kiran Public School, Koladiha, with the inauguration of its rifle club and shooting range. The event, held on the birthday of school founder Ashok Kumar Singh, saw the presence of prominent figures, including Giridih Deputy Superintendent of Police Niraj Kumar Singh as the chief guest. He, along with school chairman Ashok Kumar Singh, principal Raghav Bhokta, patron Syed Sabih Ashraf, club vice president Santosh Kumar Mishra, school director Rajiv Ranjan Singh, and club secretary Ravi Kumar, formally inaugurated the facility. DSP Singh commended the establishment of the shooting range, highlighting its potential to shape students into valuable citizens. He wished the school continued success in its mission. School chairman Ashok Kumar Singh emphasized the motivational aspect of setting targets and achieving them, likening it to the accuracy required in rifle shooting. He underscored the school’s commitment to training students in marksmanship and other weapon handling skills, recognizing their importance for self-reliance, community safety, and national defense. The event concluded with an opportunity for guests and students to experience shooting, with significant contributions from teachers such as Choti Rawani, Shikha Swarnima, Preeti Kumari, Neetu Sinha, and Panchanand Kumar in organizing the successful launch.
