
The Birsa Munda Archery Academy in Silli is beaming with pride following the selection of its para-archer, Jitu Ram Bedia, to represent India. Bedia will compete in the upcoming Asian Youth Para Archery Championship, marking a significant milestone in his archery career. To honor his achievement and wish him luck, academy patron and former Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto presented him with a top-tier compound bow. The ceremony was also attended by Chanchal Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Ranchi District Archery Association, and Babita Devi, Vice Chairperson of the Bokaro Zilla Parishad, underscoring the widespread recognition of Bedia’s potential.
Academy President Neha Mahto congratulated Bedia, emphasizing that his selection is a proud moment for the entire Jharkhand state, originating from the village of Jonha, Dimra (Bandhtola). Sudesh Kumar Mahto praised Bedia’s exceptional dedication, hard work, and unwavering determination, describing him as a true inspiration. He further commented that Bedia’s success demonstrates the potential of young individuals when provided with adequate opportunities and guidance, regardless of their background. Mahto extended his warmest wishes for Bedia’s future, aspiring for him to achieve great success and bring honor to India and Jharkhand globally.
