
PVSV DAV Public School, Jhumritilaiya, became the venue for a significant capacity building workshop from November 8th to 9th, 2025. The workshop, themed ‘Strengthening Evaluation and Assessment Methodologies,’ was organized by the CBSE, Patna Region, with the objective of empowering teachers with advanced assessment techniques. The initiative is geared towards enhancing the quality of education in accordance with the NEP 2020.
Principal Krishan Kumar Singh inaugurated the workshop, marking the start of two days dedicated to professional development. The session was enriched by the insights of eminent resource persons: Chandan Kumar Dubey, Mukesh Kumar Prasad, Mousumi Mallick, and Kumar Satish Singh. A melodious welcome song presented by the students created a warm and inspiring environment.
In his opening speech, the Principal provided deep insights into the evolving assessment landscape, the importance of objective assessment, and the indispensable role of teachers in this process. The workshop attracted 58 participants, including teachers from various DAV schools and four educators from Jharkhand Public School. The curriculum focused on recent directives from the board, best practices in question formulation, developing assessment tools, and implementing effective classroom evaluations.
Through collaborative activities and analytical discussions, teachers explored the nuances of modern assessment frameworks. The resource speakers strongly emphasized the necessity of student-centric approaches, skill integration, and life-skills-oriented evaluations. The workshop concluded with a solemn peace chant. A comprehensive vote of thanks was delivered, expressing appreciation for all stakeholders. The event’s smooth execution was noted, with Principal Krishan Kumar Singh affirming its role in promoting a more holistic and skill-driven educational paradigm aligned with NEP 2020.
