The Gumla district of Jharkhand is reeling from the tragic deaths of a teenage couple. The two, students at the same school, were involved in a relationship that ended in heartbreak. The couple, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, had an argument over the phone, leading to their suicides. The girl took her own life first, and the boy followed shortly after. Police are investigating the details surrounding the deaths, and the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination. This incident echoes a similar event from August 2025 in East Singhbhum district, where a couple in a live-in relationship also died by suicide. This raises concerns about the pressures and challenges faced by young people in relationships.
