
Ranchi’s Sarla Birla University (SBU) recently concluded a lively three-day Fresher’s Day celebration, dedicated to welcoming students into its academic fold. The event was a vibrant affair, marked by enthusiastic participation from both senior and junior students. In a spirit of festivity, seniors organized a warm reception for the freshers, featuring a variety of performances. Students showcased their talents through engaging acts, set against a backdrop of exciting music and dance. The highlight included a dynamic fashion show that added a touch of glamour to the proceedings, ensuring plenty of fun and memorable moments for everyone involved.
Adding to the excitement, departmental competitions saw students vying for the coveted Mr. and Ms. Fresher titles.
During the event, Professor Gopal Pathak, Director General of SBU, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing that discipline is the bedrock of success. He encouraged the students to integrate discipline into their lives as they work towards their objectives.
Vice-Chancellor Professor C. Jagannathan commended the value of such cultural and social events, stating they are vital for holistic student development. He elaborated on how these occasions contribute to enhancing confidence, promoting teamwork, and developing crucial leadership capabilities.
The SBU faculty members were actively involved throughout the celebration. The Pro-Chancellor, Bijay Kumar Dalan, and Rajya Sabha MP, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Verma, expressed their satisfaction with the event’s success and extended their warmest greetings to the newly admitted students.
