A tense situation developed in Gumla, Jharkhand, as a man, Ritesh Kumar Singh, climbed a 100-foot mobile tower and threatened to commit suicide following a property dispute with his family. The argument stemmed from disagreements with his father and brother over property inheritance. Reports indicate that the man, known as Babu, then physically assaulted his wife, Pratima Devi, when she tried to prevent him from leaving the house. Police intervened and spent more than three hours negotiating his safe descent. After a protracted effort, he was brought down with slight injuries and admitted to a hospital. The incident has drawn parallels to a previous case in Ranchi, where a man climbed a high-voltage tower due to a family issue.
