Much of India is currently experiencing scorching temperatures. Northern India is particularly affected by extreme heat. The eastern and central regions are also under its grip. People are limiting outdoor activities, resulting in fewer people in markets during the day. Let’s take a look at the weather forecast across the country today.

In Delhi, the sun is intensely hot. Ayanagar recorded a maximum temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The meteorological department indicates that Delhi, which is already enduring the heat, will not experience relief for at least the next two days. An orange alert has been issued for strong surface winds and a heatwave for today. Strong surface winds and heatwave conditions will also continue tomorrow. Thunderstorms and rain are possible on June 13-14, with further rainfall expected on June 15 and 16.

    **Heatwave in 17 UP Districts**

Some relief from the extreme heat may be on the horizon in Uttar Pradesh. Light cloud cover is expected in 14 districts today. However, a heatwave is forecast to persist in 17 districts. A yellow alert has been issued for a heatwave in Lalitpur, Jhansi, Jalaun, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Etawah, Kanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Agra, Hathras, Aligarh, and Mathura. Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Basti, Deoria, Kushinagar, and Maharajganj will see a mix of sunshine and cloud cover. Rain is possible in both eastern and western parts of the state tomorrow, with more rain anticipated on June 13.

**Rain Predicted in North Bihar and Jharkhand**

Bihar is facing severe heat. The meteorological department has issued an orange alert for rain in North Bihar. Rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in all 19 districts of North Bihar today. A yellow alert has been issued for South Bihar, indicating humid weather. The weather department has issued a rain warning for the whole of Jharkhand today.

**Heatwave in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana**

Extreme heat and heatwave conditions are affecting various parts of Rajasthan. On Tuesday, the temperature in many cities surpassed 45 degrees Celsius. The meteorological department does not foresee any relief from the severe heat and heatwave in Rajasthan in the coming days. Haryana and Punjab are also experiencing intense heat. There is no immediate expectation of respite from the heat in these states.

    **Mountain Region Weather**

Rain is expected in a few districts of Uttarakhand today, along with strong winds. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for certain districts. The heat has become intense in Himachal Pradesh as well. A change in the weather is anticipated from June 13. Thunderstorms and rain are possible in various parts of the state between June 13 and 16.
