Uttar Pradesh is also feeling the heat. The weather department has issued an orange alert for several districts, warning of heatwave conditions. The state is expected to receive rainfall starting tomorrow, with an alert for rain and thunderstorms in many districts on June 12.
Bihar is unlikely to see any relief from the heat today, but the weather is expected to change late tonight. Heavy rainfall is expected from tomorrow with the arrival of the monsoon, which is anticipated to reach Bihar by June 15. Light rain is possible in some districts tonight. Jharkhand will also see a change in weather today, with strong winds and rain expected in several districts through June 14.
Rajasthan is once again experiencing extreme heat. The highest temperature recorded was 47.3 degrees Celsius in Sri Ganganagar. The weather department forecasts dry conditions and a heatwave in most parts of western Rajasthan for the next week. Light rain may occur in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on June 15-16. Haryana and Punjab are also expected to face intense heat this week.
