
An unsettling incident has occurred in West Singhbhum, where Head Constable Rajesh Kumar (52) of the CRPF 193rd F Battalion, serving in the Naxal-affected Saranda forest, has died in suspicious circumstances. The event unfolded at the CRPF camp situated in Chhotanagra, Manoharpur block.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that Kumar felt unwell and collapsed during his duty on Saturday. He was promptly taken to the Manoharpur Community Health Centre by fellow jawans. The medical team declared him dead upon arrival. While preliminary medical opinions point towards a cardiac arrest, the precise cause of death will be ascertained only after the post-mortem examination is completed.
Kumar, who was originally posted in Musabani (East Singhbhum), was part of the crucial operation aimed at neutralizing Naxal presence in the Saranda forest. He was recognized for his steadfast dedication and enthusiastic participation in security operations.
His untimely death has deeply saddened his colleagues. Many have spoken of Rajesh Kumar as an exemplary soldier, known for his honesty, discipline, and commitment to duty. The CRPF unit mourns the loss of a highly dependable comrade.
