
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has voiced strong criticism against Pakistan, alleging its involvement in derailing the development trajectory of Jammu and Kashmir and fostering animosity within its communities. Speaking at a religious event in Anantnag district, he condemned Pakistan as a ‘terrorist nation’, accusing it of seeking to reverse the progress made in J&K over the past five years. He emphasized the need for unity to thwart Pakistan’s alleged destructive designs, while also praising the efforts of security forces and the public’s role in combating terrorism. Sinha acknowledged the people’s patience and highlighted the region’s spiritual heritage that encourages tolerance. He emphasized the festive atmosphere and communal harmony, highlighting events like the Maa Siddhalakshmi worship, the Amarnath pilgrimage, and Muharram.
