Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed on July 26th each year, is a solemn occasion to pay respects to the Indian Armed Forces who fought in the Kargil War of 1999. The day is a testament to the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of Indian soldiers who defended the nation against Pakistani aggression. The theme for this year is ‘Honoring 26 Years of Valour and Victory,’ in memory of the 545 martyrs.
