During his visit to Delhi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held discussions with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The delegation included ministers KJ George, HC Mahadevappa, Satish Jarkiholi, and State Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh. The Chief Minister had an unexpected meeting with Aamir Khan, and acknowledged his work in cinema. The Delhi visit included planned meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The discussions with the Finance Minister are taking place against the backdrop of Karnataka’s request for a special grant of Rs 11,495 crore, which the state contends has not been released by the central government. Siddaramaiah also met with AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala to address pertinent matters.
