A probe by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has brought serious allegations against Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui, the chairperson of Al-Falah University, regarding the fraudulent acquisition of land in Madanpur Khadar, Delhi. The ED asserts that Siddiqui, through his Tarbia Education Foundation, obtained land using a General Power of Attorney (GPA) that was purportedly forged. The foundation acquired Khasra No. 792 based on this GPA, dated January 7, 2004.
The critical detail in the ED’s investigation is that the purported signatories and thumb-print donors on the GPA were, in fact, deceased at the time the document was created. These five landowners had passed away years before 2004, with the earliest death recorded in 1972 and the latest in 1998. The ED has identified these individuals as Nathu, Harbans Singh, Harkesh, Shiv Dayal, and Jai Ram.
Following the forged GPA, a registered sale deed was executed on June 27, 2013. This deed allegedly sold the land, valued at Rs 75 lakh, to the Tarbia Education Foundation, with Vinod Kumar acting as the seller on behalf of the deceased individuals. The ED believes the Tarbia Education Foundation is the ultimate beneficiary of this fraudulent scheme and is actively pursuing further leads. Siddiqui has been arrested by the ED under money laundering laws, with officials citing substantial evidence of his involvement in controlling the trust’s affairs and engaging in financial irregularities.
