The disappearance of a man in Chikmagalur, Karnataka, has revealed a dark tale of betrayal and murder. Police have arrested Meenakshamma, 56, for allegedly orchestrating the killing of her husband, 60-year-old Subramanya, with the help of her 33-year-old boyfriend, Pradeep. Siddesh and Vishwas, two other individuals, have also been apprehended for their involvement in the crime.
The investigation began with a missing person report filed by Meenakshamma on June 2nd. After tracing Subramanya’s mobile activity and following leads, the police found a body near railway tracks. CCTV footage revealed that Subramanya was last seen with Pradeep and two other men. Through interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder.
The police investigation uncovered a relationship between Meenakshamma and Pradeep. The evidence showed that they were avoiding direct contact to evade suspicion. However, the police discovered that Meenakshamma was communicating with a number registered under Pradeep’s mother’s name, which was later found to be used by Pradeep.
The events leading up to the murder involved a plan to kill Subramanya on May 31st. Pradeep and his accomplices took Subramanya to a secluded location where they drank alcohol. During this time, Pradeep slit Subramanya’s throat. Afterward, they attempted to burn the body but failed, leaving it at the scene.
Authorities state that Meenakshamma wanted her husband out of the picture because he was against her relationship with Pradeep. Meenakshamma and Subramanya have two daughters, who are married, and grandchildren. Meenakshamma and Pradeep had known each other for four years and were deeply involved romantically.
