The government has also announced financial assistance of Rs 9 lakh for the victim’s family. An FIR has been filed against the construction agency, highlighting the government’s focus on accountability. The victim, a daily wage worker, was reportedly returning home when he fell into the open drain. The body was recovered after an extensive search operation. The DCP of Lucknow West stated that the contractor responsible for cleaning also has an FIR filed against them.
