Good news for Bundelkhand: Increase in seats in BMC approved, district hospital will be merged with medical college

The state government is going to provide facilities to Bundelkhand Medical College.

There were 185 seats for PG and MBBS in the medical college. Instead of these, students will now get admission on 348 seats. Rs 200 crore approved for increasing seats in the medical college.

Navdunia Representative, Sagar. A good news was received on Tuesday for the people of the entire Bundelkhand region including Sagar. The increase in PG and UG seats in Medical College Sagar was approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday.

Apart from this, approval was also given to transfer the district hospital to the medical college to increase the number of PG and UG seats in Sagar Medical College. In this decision passed in the cabinet, it was told that currently there are 125 seats for MBBS admission in Sagar Medical College.

This has now been increased to 250 seats. Apart from this, currently 60 seats are available for admission in PG courses in Sagar Medical College.

It is being increased to 98 seats. The state government has approved about 200 crores for increasing the seats in Bundelkhand Medical College.

Sagar District Hospital will be merged with Medical College

According to the conditions of National Medical Commission, a 900 bed hospital is required to increase the MBBS and PG seats in the medical college. At present, Bundelkhand Medical College Sagar has a 750 bed hospital and the district hospital attached to it has 300 beds. Therefore, by transferring the district hospital to Bundelkhand Medical College, the condition of the Medical Commission will be fulfilled. Apart from this, construction of a 100 bed maternity hospital is also going on in the district hospital. After the merger of the district hospital with the medical college, a total of 1150 bed hospital will be available in Bundelkhand Medical College.

The State’s Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has thanked Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the entire cabinet for the approval of the Madhya Pradesh cabinet for the increase in PG and MBBS seats in Sagar’s Bundelkhand Hospital. He said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yadav, a new picture of development and change will emerge in the entire Bundelkhand region including Sagar in the coming times.
