The Uttar Pradesh cabinet, under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, held a crucial meeting on Thursday. The primary focus was on key proposals concerning education, water supply, and economic advancement. A total of 19 proposals were approved during the meeting, including initiatives to establish private universities and provide scholarships to talented students across the state. The meeting saw the participation of all cabinet and state ministers.
Besides the policy decisions, the cabinet also reviewed the prevailing flood situation. A notable outcome of the meeting was the endorsement of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chevening Scholarship Scheme. This scheme is a collaboration with the UK’s The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). The program will provide scholarships to five outstanding students each year, enabling them to pursue Master’s degrees at recognized UK universities. The funding will be split between the UP government and the UK organization.
