
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Purnea district in Bihar to unveil several key development projects, including initiatives worth ₹36,000 crore. A central part of the visit involves the inauguration of a new airport terminal in northern Bihar, addressing the region’s need for improved air travel infrastructure. The establishment of the National Makhana Board, as proposed in the Union Budget 2025, will be another pivotal launch. This board is designed to stimulate the production and export of Makhana, implement new technologies, and refine processing methods, providing substantial benefits for Makhana farmers in Bihar and beyond.
Further activities include the Prime Minister’s participation in Griha Pravesh ceremonies for over 40,000 PMAY beneficiaries and the distribution of ₹500 crore to women’s self-help groups through the DAY-NRLM initiative. Stringent security measures have been implemented, including a 24-hour suspension of traffic on national and state highways, starting from Sunday midnight.
