Congress MP Manish Tewari defended Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arguing that the range of opinions in India is a strength, not a weakness. He stated that this diversity sets India apart from countries with different systems of governance.

Tewari emphasized the importance of free speech in a democracy, where individuals can express their views. He discussed the missions of multi-party delegations, noting their role in drawing international attention to Pakistan’s activities.

During a discussion with the Prime Minister, Tewari described the conversation as open and informal, allowing for the sharing of insights gathered from various nations. He also highlighted that the initiative of sending delegations abroad is a step towards holding states that use terrorism accountable. The objective, according to Tewari, is to build an international coalition against state sponsorship of terror.

The delegation, which included members from multiple political parties and was led by Supriya Sule of the NCP (SP), visited various countries as part of India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’.
