
Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – The Andhra Pradesh government is diligently preparing for the 11th International Yoga Day, set to take place in Visakhapatnam on June 21. A high-level review meeting was held at the VMRDA office to finalize the arrangements for the anticipated event, which is expected to draw a large crowd of approximately five lakh people. Key ministers, including Vangalapudi Anitha, and other officials attended the meeting to discuss logistical details and security measures. Home Minister Anitha addressed the press, stating the government’s commitment to the event and its promotion of Yoga. The preparations include providing yoga mats, T-shirts, and ORS bottles to participants, establishing 326 compartments to accommodate attendees, and installing over 2,000 CCTV cameras. An alternative venue at Andhra University is ready for use in case of rain. The government aims to make the event a memorable success, highlighting the role of Yoga in promoting health and well-being.
