The Meghalaya district and sessions court has remanded Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha to 13 days of judicial custody in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. The police did not request for custody, leading the court to grant the judicial remand. This development follows the earlier judicial custody of Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand. Raja Raghuvanshi, who was on his honeymoon, was found dead in a gorge near Sohra (Cherrapunji). The Meghalaya Police, as part of their investigation, reconstructed the crime scene with the accused present to understand the events. The SP reported that the reconstruction provided clarity. Authorities are still searching for a machete used in the murder. It was also revealed that Raja’s phone was damaged by Sonam and Vishal after the crime.
