The investigation into the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case involving Sonam Raghuvanshi has seen a significant update. After disappearing on May 23rd, Sonam has been found, leading to her arrest by Ghazipur Police. The charges against her allege that she was involved in the murder of her husband. Reports indicate that Sonam contacted her brother to confirm her safety.
Sonam, hailing from Indore, was discovered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, early Monday. Acting quickly, the Indore police travelled to Gazipur. Information suggests she was found in a distressed state and is presently under care at the Sakhi One Stop Centre.
Sonam Raghuvanshi’s father, Devi Singh, shared his perspective with the media. He said that, “Sonam came to a dhaba in Ghazipur. She called her brother, Govind. Police went there and took her to the Police Station.” He strongly rejected the accusations, stating: “100% false allegations are being made against Sonam.”
He also expressed doubts about the investigation, remarking, “Police bikk gayi hai… I request to send CBI to investigate how the stuff kept in the activa reached near the body.” When asked about how Sonam reached the dhaba, he responded, “Only Sonam can tell this. The couple had Rs 70,000. Raja had a chain and two rings, while Sonam had a chain around her neck, bracelet, anklet, and money…”
