Following the discovery of a deceased man and the ongoing search for his missing wife, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has requested a CBI investigation into the case of Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam, the Indore couple who disappeared in Meghalaya. The Chief Minister has urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene. Raja’s body was found, but Sonam is still missing. CM Yadav stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is supporting the family and coordinating with Meghalaya officials. The family has also appealed to the Prime Minister to launch a CBI probe. The couple was last contacted on May 23, and Raja’s body was found near Cherrapunji. Raja’s brother, Vipul Raghuvanshi, has voiced concerns about the current investigation and is hopeful that a CBI inquiry will help find his sister-in-law. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has offered condolences and stated that all measures will be taken to address the situation.
