PM Modi affirmed his intention to join the ASEAN-India Summit virtually, with a clear objective of deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Both leaders delved into strengthening bilateral connections and identifying new areas for cooperation. Prime Minister Ibrahim noted that PM Modi’s virtual participation was due to Diwali, extending festival greetings. Malaysia is poised to lead the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit, emphasizing themes of ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’ to advance regional stability and economic progress. The summit will convene global leaders to discuss critical regional issues before the ASEAN chairmanship passes to the Philippines.
