The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that rainfall activity is set to intensify with the monsoon’s arrival. The weather department anticipates isolated heavy showers in Northwest India from June 25th. Alerts are in place for torrential rains across various regions of Central, East, and Northeast India over the next week.
According to recent IMD reports, West Madhya Pradesh is expected to experience intense downpours today, with Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh receiving rain between June 23rd and 27th. People in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh should be prepared for potential traffic problems and waterlogging due to the continuing rain.
The monsoon is also expected to impact areas of Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat, starting today and likely lasting until June 29, 2025.
