The monsoon season has brought immense challenges to Himachal Pradesh, with the death toll climbing to 78. The SDMA indicates that the majority of fatalities were due to monsoon-related incidents, including flash floods, landslides, and cloudbursts. Mandi district has experienced the most severe impact, with extensive road blockages and disruptions to essential services like water supply. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri reported significant damage to public utilities and confirmed that restoration work is actively underway to repair critical infrastructure and restore services. The state government has mobilized its resources and is working to provide relief and support to those affected.
